Process flows

This white paper gives an idea of the concept of PickByItem

https://www.comactivity.com.au/dynamic-waveless-picking-in-a-fast-paced-warehouse/

This function works best when each item can be picked and packed to an order without having to be co packed with other order lines on the same order. For example EDI orders where each pallet or layer has its own pallet and labels.

There are 2 main use cases:

1. Cross dock of fast moving made to order stock where we can pick one item to all customers once it comes off the production line

2. Pack one line online orders that has been picked in a wave from storage to be packed out in single packages.

Feature:

If we want to see items to pick where we do not have stock yet we need to set up the item with soft allocation method 7.

Scope:

This function supports all M3 order categories and picking flows but since it is a paperless concept we recommend to use manual advanced packing into LPN/package labels to get something identifiable at the end of each pick, or print  label directly after each pick.

M3 settings

CMS015 custom API

MA settings

This is the default filter - we can only pick one order cat at the time here.
Picking status - same can only do the one status at the time.

Location: if there should be a filter on the Location (this is the pick from location) for example if waves are picked into trolleys then this should be open so we can filer only on the trolley to pack good from.

Departure date
will be defaulted to todays date if open (else we will pick all order lines available to be picked

State/Route
are ways to make the item list shorter when trucks for a state or route will leave soon to prioritise the orders that are going out soon.

Delivery/Suffix: If this is ticked the user can select only based on an actual picklist (this will essentially be the same as Pick Pack by Delivery: to be used if a particular order is urgent to finish
Print transport doc preference:
This flag determines which landing tab to use when using the callout to the printing (to interleave this function and print some labels/documents and come back to pick more)
Data grids too
